Definition of GMO:

Genetically Modified Organism:
An organism or microorganism whose genetic material has been altered by means of genetic engineering.

 

Definition of PCR: 
The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a technology in molecular biology used to amplify a single copy or a few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence.

 

Guidelines for using the Biolytix NON GMO Label (Summary):

  • The customer has to agree to one or more audits for document verification, sample taking and testing. According to the result he will get a report of audit and GMO testing of suppliers. If the approval for using the NON GMO Certified Label of Biolytix is given according to that report, he may use the label for all the products in the group which was verified.
  • The NON GMO Certified Label may be printed on the label or a sticker can be put on a product or a group of products, which were verified. The customer may determine the size of the label himself. He is not allowed to change the design and the color. But he can print in black and white if he wants to do so.
